USS Arkansas - BB-33, is an American dreadnought battleship of the Wyoming class, the second ship of the series in addition to the battleship Wyoming. She was accepted into the fleet on September 17, 1912. This battleship was involved in maritime patrols during the First and Second World Wars. In 1944, the USS Arkansas took part in the Allied landings in Normandy. It was her guns that in June carried out artillery support for the landing of American troops on the famous Omaha sector. The maximum speed of the ship is 21 knots (38 km/h). The premium battleship is armed with twelve 305 mm Mk.7 guns in six turrets, six 127 mm Mk.7 guns, eight 76 mm Mk.10 guns, six quadruple 28 mm “Chicago piano” mounts, and twenty-six 20mm Oerlikon Mk.II automatic cannons.
