The Sea Hawk series aircrafts were developed by the British company Hawker primarily as the point defence interceptor, however, in the RAF service already were other aircrafts, so designers revised the aircraft to the needs of the Navy. Later on, several modifications were released that enhanced the combat possibilities of the aircraft. The design of the wing consoles was improved to increase the number of suspension points, bomb loadout increased also appeared the possibility of carrying rockets. The aircraft was equipped with a more powerful turbojet engine, which increased it speed and maneuverability. One of the latest modification, the Sea Hawk Mk. 100 was developed for the German Navy Forces in the late 50s. The main armament of the Mk.100 consists of four Hispano Mk.V 20 mm guns and various rockets and bomb loadouts. Mk. 100 can also be equipped with two AIM-9B Sidewinder AAMs.
